Abstract

Summary of the research findings

Importance: Genome-wide association studies (GWASs) in European populations have identified more than 100 schizophrenia-associated loci. A schizophrenia GWAS in a unique Indian population offers novel findings.

816 Indian ancestry cases, 900 Indian ancestry controls, 505 Indian ancestry cases and 871 Indian ancestry controls from 405 families, up to 36,989 European and unknown ancestry cases, up to 113,075 European and unknown ancestry controls
